Giulia LaForgia is a passionate and dynamic young professional poised to make an impact in the world of marketing and communications. She recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Duquesne University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communication, a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies, and a certificate in Business Management, all while maintaining an impressive 3.98 GPA over just three years.

Giulia’s professional experience and knowledge has been shaped by diverse internships and positions held throughout her time at Duquesne. At ArtsQuest, she contributed innovative ideas to enhance their social media strategy and performance. Notably, one of her projects garnered over 10,000 views on Instagram, a significant achievement for the company. She also attended various distinguished company events, including Musikfest, to collect and promote content on social media

During the same summer, Giulia also interned at St. Luke’s University Health Network within their Sports Medicine department. In this role, she developed multiple visually appealing graphics and templates for social media to maintain a consistent brand image. Giulia actively attended health network events to collect content and ensure adherence to brand guidelines. Her contributions were instrumental in the planning and creation of some of the highest-performing content in the account’s history.

For a significant portion of her experience as a Duquesne student, Giulia served as an Admissions Ambassador in the Duquesne University Office of Admissions. This role allowed her to hone her public speaking and social skills by giving tours and marketing the campus to prospective students and their families. Additionally, Giulia was called upon to support the marketing team by contributing to their social media channels, where she consistently created high-performing content that garnered significant views, likes, and engagement.

Beyond her professional life, Giulia is an active leader in her social and academic spheres. At Duquesne, she served as the Vice President of the Public Relations Student Society of America. In this role, she assisted in the planning of the Rising Currents Conference, a regional PRSSA professional development event. Giulia was also the Vice President of Public Relations for Duquesne’s chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional sales and marketing fraternity. In this position, she independently managed the organization’s social media accounts, overseeing development, organization, creation, and strategy. This role fostered her inherently creative nature by providing significant creative liberty.

Giulia has built a strong foundation of skills across various platforms and tools, including Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Hootsuite, and BrandWatch.

In her free time, Giulia enjoys a variety of hobbies, including reading books, listening to her perfectly curated playlists, and spending time with her friends and family. It is more than likely that on a free day you will catch her sitting outside with a good book and an iced coffee. She looks forward to further developing her professional skills and contributing to the mission of Trailblaze.
